A mockery of our laws

March 16, 2013
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

To the editor:

The project and development (PDP) of Cape Coral, has put forth a plan allowing Cape Christian Fellowship to make a mockery of our zoning laws.

If this proposal passes council, it will endanger every "single family district.". It will allow amplified music, at the choosing of the Fellowship seven days a week. They would run a food service for the events as well. This money maker for the fellowship is at the expense of all of the homeowners and property investors within a mile of the site. They would construct an amphitheater, that is now called "a covered sound stage". An amphitheater wasn't allowed so the wording, not the structure or intent, was changed.

The traffic will be an abomination as well. Please come to the meetings as follows to protect your neighborhood: April 3, P&Z, 10 a.m. City Hall. April 15, City Council Hearing 4:30 p.m.. April 29, 4:30 p.m., at City Hall.

One of the pastors is the police chaplain.

Do the math.
