To the editor :
Last Monday, Feb. 4, I had an accident with my bicycle on Southeast 47th Terrace. It was totally my fault. I was driving with something else on my mind, and my backpack got caught up in my front tire. It flipped my bike and bodyslammed me to the road.
I'd like to thank the people who checked on me. When it first happened, I thought I just got the wind knocked out of me. But when I stood up, I was very dizzy and eventually passed out. I regained consciousness, but passed out again. When I came to, a very nice lady let me know paramedics were on the way. I was checked out, and after clearing the cobwebs, I realized I was fine. But I'd really like to thank all those who were concerned enough to check on me. It means a lot to me that there is still compassion in this world, and especially in this community. I am very grateful. Thank you.
