Psyche Mona Martin, 84, a Cape Coral resident for the last two years, formerly of Naples, Fla., and Vermont passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, in Cape Coral. She was born May 13, 1928, in Manhattan, N.Y., to Joseph and Ruth Reich, now deceased.
She attended a music and art high school in Bronx, N.Y. She later graduated from Parsons School of Design with a bachelor's degree in art. She grew her passion into a fashion illustrator artist working with the many department stores; Lord & Taylor, Macys, Bloomindales, Alexander's, Gimbels and Bonwitt Tellers. She has been displaying her contemporary art in galleries throughout Naples, Vermont and Miami.
She is survived by her son, Seth Martin of Hoboken, N.J.; as well as two granddaughters, Carla Martin and Nicole Martin, both also of Hoboken.
Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Martin, in 1985 and a son, James Martin, in 1992.
