Open house Saturday at

South West Veterinary Care Center

Dr. Stephanie King, a new veterinarian in Cape Coral, has taken over management of South West Veterinary Care Center in Camelot Isles shopping center off Cape Coral Parkway. There will be an open house at the center Saturday, Feb. 16, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce is scheduled to perform a ribbon cutting ceremony at about 11:30.

Razzle Dazzle fashion show

at the Italian American Club

On Thursday, Feb. 28, the Razzle Dazzle women's boutique will be sponsoring a Mardi Gras Madness Fashion Show at the Italian American Club in Cape Coral.

Renovations, ugrades

continue at Dolphin Key Resort

The Dolphin Key Resort, a hotel, bar and restaurant, recently opened in Cape Coral at 1502 Miramar St. The resort is under the direction of Stewart Gallagher, the chief operating officer, and Magdalena Dyberg, a managing partner who is also in charge of public relations.

Renovations and upgrades at the resort are ongoing with phase 1 (47 rooms) complete and phase 2 (38 rooms) under way. Management describes the rooms ad light in color with granite baths and smart TVs.

The resort features a large tiki bar (3,000 square feet) and and will soon include Tengroth's Steak & Seafood restaurant, scheduled to open in this fall. The restaurant is named for Bjorn Tengroth, Magdelana's father.

Jerry Elliott has been named to the newly created position of vice president of sales and practice leader at BB&T Insurance Services.

Bokan named Rising Star
