Flood the County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday , Feb. 12 at 9:30 a.m. at the county courthouse and tell the Commissioners not to do away with impact fees in Lee County.
Our county budget has a $30 million shortfall and some commissioners want to raise this to $40 million if they do away with impact fees. At that rate our reserves will be completely deleted by 2015 .Our taxes will have to be raised to an astronomical level if this happens. Besides our county taxes, the Lee County School Board will have to raise even more taxes.
We need reserves for emergencies like a Sandy or Katrina. Road funds, school repair funds, parks and rec monies will be almost gone or all gone.Tell our commissioners not to do do way with impact fees Do not have them raise taxes on us!
