William "Bill" Parker Hoffman, 73, a winter resident of Cape Coral, Fla. since 2004 and of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 in Cape Coral.
He was born November 12, 1939 in Paterson, NJ to Joseph and Margaret Hoffman, now deceased.
He was retired from the City of Grand Rapids Streets and Sanitation Department where he served as a heavy equipment operator.
He also was a mason for more than 40 years and held duel memberships at the F&AM Wyckoff Lodge No. 287 and Rockford Lodge No. 246.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Linda Belanus Hoffman of Grand Rapids and Cape Coral; two children, Stefanie Hoffman of Closter, NJ and Kenneth Hoffman of San Francisco, CA; a brother, Robert Hoffman of Lakeland, FL; his wife's parents, George and Verna Belanus of Grand Rapids; five sisters-in-law, Dot, Lillian and Kay Hoffman and Jane Quinn (Bruce) and Susan Burke (Bryan); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Herman, Joseph and Phillip Hoffman.
Private beachside memorial services will be held at a later date.
