Kathleen Ann Hoffay, 62, of North Fort Myers died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral. She was born May 6, 1950, in Troy, N.Y., a daughter of Richard and Agnes (Finlan) Phoenix.
A resident of Cape Coral from 2001 to 2012 when she moved to North Fort Myers, she was an executive secretary for 10 years until her illness for Markham, Norton, Mosteller and Wright CPA firm in Fort Myers. She had previously lived in the Troy, N.Y., area and had been employed at MTI engineering firm and Pacific Pool, both in Latham, N.Y., and was a member of the Elks Lodge.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Thomas W. Hoffay; her children, Richard S. Romano Jr. of Troy, N.Y., Todd (Wendy) Hoffay of Scotsdale, Ariz., Tanya Hoffay of Queens, N.Y., and Brett (Tara) Hoffay of Clifton Park, N.Y.; five grandchildren; her sister, Marian Moore of Colonie, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Kristin Romano, who died 4 years ago.
A memorial service for Mrs. Hoffay will be held Sunday Jan. 27, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway, Cape Coral, with food and refreshments to follow at Del Tura Poolside Pub Courtyard at 4 p.m.
