Charles Wilson Pletcher, 92, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, in Marietta, Ga. He was born Sept. 10, 1920, in Columbus, Ohio, to Charles and Minnie Pletcher. He was a graduate of Miami University of Ohio and member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He served in the Navy as an intelligence officer. He was also a member of the Masonic Organization.
He and his wife, Jean, moved to Cape Coral after his retirement as an insurance executive and lived there 19 years. They relocated to Marietta in December 2005 to be closer to their daughter, Sherry.
Survivors include, Donna Jean Pletcher, his wife of 66 years; daughters, Sherry Pletcher of Kennesaw, Ga., and Diane Mayer of Taunton, Mass. The Pletchers also have three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 29, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 144 Kurtz Road at Bells Ferry Rd., Marietta, GA.
