Phase III grand opening set at Sandoval

The public is invited to attend Taylor Morrison's Phase III Grand Opening at Sandoval Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 26 and 27, from noon to 5 p.m.

Taylor Morrison is developing Phase III of Sandoval, one of the most successful construction projects in Cape Coral, and will have four model homes available for viewing in the final 100 acres of the 524-acre gated community.

The fun-filled day will include tasty treats, beverages, giveaways and drawings, including a 50-inch TV, courtesy of Vitex Systems Inc.

completes Lakes Park Children's Dentistry

and Orthodontics

Stevens Construction has completed construction of Lakes Park Children's Dentistry and Orthodontics, an 8,050-square-foot office for Dr. Oliver Favalli, DMD, announced Mark Stevens, company president.

Located at 7117 Congdon Road, in Fort Myers, the 5,550-square-foot orthodontic facility features 10 treatment rooms, an orthodontic bay, X-Ray, lobby, reception, consultation rooms, administrative offices and game area. The remaining 2,500 square feet is available for lease.

Builders Care celebrates topping $2 million

in construction services

Builders Care, the nonprofit charitable arm of the Lee Building Industry Association, recently honored several building partners and volunteers in recognition of their service and commitment to Southwest Florida's elderly and individuals with disabilities and their families.

Builders Care completed more than $2 million in construction services in November 2012 and celebrated the milestone by recognizing their building partners and volunteers.

The 2012 Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Builders Care Board member Jimmy Rodgers of West Coast Structural Concrete & Masonry for his outstanding volunteerism on the job sites of projects involving wheelchair ramps. The 2012 Sub-Contractor Partner of the Year was awarded to T&M Portable Restrooms for its on-going contributions on all construction sites and fund-raising events. Ferguson Enterprises was recognized as Outstanding Partner of the Year for its management of golf tournaments and other fund-raising efforts for Builders Care. Stock Development was honored with the prestigious Certified Builder Partner of the Year award for extraordinary efforts on behalf of Builders Care and the community through their annual partnership of donating $100 per home sale in their PASEO community and the recent completion of a new home for a Builders Care recipient valued at $175,000.

President and board member Butch Ritter, president of Cape Coral Plumbing, received the prestigious Hearts & Hammers Award for his continued leadership and commitment to Builders Care.

Builders Care board members were also recognized for their commitment to the building industry, the community and the mission of Builders Care.

O-A-K donates teddy bears as part of its 30th

anniversary celebration

Owen-Ames-Kimball Company, a general contracting, design-build and construction management firm in Southwest Florida, continued its year-long 30th anniversary celebration with a donation of 30 Build-A-Bear Workshop teddy bears to the Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida.

The only comprehensive child healthcare facility between Tampa and Miami, the Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida provides vital healthcare for the region's children, from infancy through age 18. The donated bears, each with its own birth certificate and "cub condo" house, will be given to ill or injured children upon admittance to the hospital.

Other events O-A-K has held to celebrate three decades as a company include the donation of 30 blankets to the Salvation Army of Lee, Hendry and Glades Counties, an online trivia contest to test knowledge of the company's 30-year history, the publishing and mailing of a special anniversary brochure to clients and friends, an increase in its endowment to Florida Gulf Coast University, an employee food drive benefiting the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida and gave 30 books to the Guadalupe Center of Immokalee for its children's library.
