The Vitamin Outlet NLF is a new business, within a popular business in North Forth Myers - Next Level Fitness. This earns that shop the distinction of being the only area vitamin and supplement shop within a gym, a perfect partnership.

Partners include William "Butch" Spirawk, who has been involved with a like business for the last 16 years in Cape Coral, Thomas Burchetta and Dave Leckie.

"This is sports nutrition, holistic medicines, healthy lifestyle vitamins A to Z," said Burchetta. "I've always been holistic. I decided to be health conscious, and we (the partners) decided it would be the first of its kind. There is no other fitness center in the area that has a total or complete nutrition shop within their facility."

They offer sports nutrition, whey proteins, creatin and products to build muscle mass, testosterone boosters, meal replacements and weight management supplements. There are also whole natural foods such as flax seed meal, whole cilium (whole grain) husks and other whole grain products available.

"We offer nationally-sold products at competitive prices," said Spirawk.

Jason McGillicuddy is the owner of Next Level Fitness.

"I think it is a perfect match. It is an A-Z vitamin shop strategically positioned at a fitness facility, and fitness and vitamins go hand-in-hand," he said.

They have just opened, and every day are busier.

"Ordering is coming in more frequently," said Burchetta. "The Silver Sneakers Program participants are already coming in. It makes it a one-stop shop for health and nutritional needs."

"It enables them to take advantage of a workout program including nutrition at a minimum cost," said Spirawk. "Several different insurance providers such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana and more cover the gym program, and gym program participants get a discount at our store."

Trends, they say, include testosterone boost, the weight protein isolate and the workout supplement.

"We're also seeing more calcium magnesium, bone health. And Green Energy is a mixture of whole foods, fruits and greens, a powder drink mix."

"Our Silver Sneaker Strategic Alliance is growing leaps and bounds," said McGillicuddy. "It is no longer just for seniors - the new target audience will be those from their 30s to 60s - as well as the seniors."

That program is a supplemental benefit added on to Medicare and certain insurance.

"The owners of the store will hold certificates as nutritionalists, and will be working hand-in-hand with the personnel at Next Level Fitness," Burchetta said.

"We are actually sponsoring the Sun-coast Community Outreach Center program with Jason King, a professional MMA Fighter and he will be running the program out of the center. Right now they have 40 kids participating, a free program for the children. There is also American Top Team Cape Coral Martial Arts Academy involved, some of their instructors will be donating their time to help the Suncoast kids."

"On the 29th of December will have orientation there and a festival with several demonstration fights with MMA fighters." Admission will be $3 per person or 3 cans of food for the food bank.

Hours for the new Vitamin Outlet are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. ,Sunday.
