Women's Connection

The Cape Coral Women's Connection will hold its Christmas luncheon from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, at the Palmetto Pine Country Club.

Doors open at 10 a.m. for the sale and silent auction. The luncheon will begin at 11 a.m.

This is the group's annual fund raiser. They will have donated costume jewelry for sale; some find that special piece for your outfit. The silent auction will feature Christmas stockings filled with many items and dinner gift certificates. Bring a wrapped ornament for exchange at your table.

Special music will be provided by strolling violinist and soloist Cathy Reed. The inspirational speaker will be Melanie Spadafora.

Reservations are $16 inclusive and pre-paid. Make checks payable to CCWC and mail to CCWC, Box 725, Alva, FL, 33920 by Tuesday, Dec. 4. Libertarian Party

of Lee County

The Libertarian Party of Lee County will hold its next meeting Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 7 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. in the Judge Landis room of Shoeless Joe's restaurant within the Crowne Plaza at Bell Tower. We welcome liberty minded individuals of all party affiliations.

Lee Republican Women's Club (Chartered)

The Lee Republican Women's Club (Chartered) will hold a dinner meeting at the Crowne Plaza Holiday Inn at 13051 Bell Tower Drive, Fort Myers (33907) on Tuesday, Dec. 11. Social hour begins at 6 p.m. with dinner and program at 6:30 p.m.

The Honorable Gary Lee, chairman of the Lee County Republican Committee, will be the featured speaker focusing on the Electoral College.

Mastersingers

Sounds of Beethoven, Mozart and Handel come to life every Monday evening at Fort Myers Congregational United Church of Christ. The Fort Myers Symphonic Mastersingers rehearse at the church for their 12th season of bringing masterful classical works to Southwest Florida.

Between Dec. 2, and May 24, the Mastersingers will perform in Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Pine Island, Naples, Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel

Eight concerts are scheduled beginning with a performance of "Messiah and More" on Dec. 2 at Sanibel Community Church and a "Messiah Sing-a-Long" on Dec. 7 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Fort Myers.

In January the chorus will sing Beethoven's joyous Ninth Symphony with the Gulf Coast Symphony at Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall.

A "Sounds of Spring" program will be presented at the Pine Island United Methodist Church on March 3 and at the BIG ARTS in Sanibel on April 14.

The annual spring concert will feature Mozart's Missa Brevis in D, Finzi's Magnificat, Three Nocturnes by Forrest, and Bernstein's Chichester Palms.

A Memorial Day Observance at Bower Chapel Moorings Park in Naples will conclude the season.

Rotary Club of Cape Coral

Cape Coral Social Club

The Social Club has been in existence since 1968 serving the community of Cape Coral. All residents are welcome to attend a meeting and/or the dinner dance. The Cape Coral Italian American Club, 4725 Vincennes Blvd., Cape Coral has a beautiful ballroom used weekly for fine dining and dancing at reasonable prices. It is also available for parties, receptions, and banquets fit for any occasion. They are always open to the public!

Fraternal Order Of Eagles

The Farmers Market is back and the club is now open to the public on Saturday morning for breakfast until noon. Breakfast is also served on Sundays. Lunch is served Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 - 2:30. Dinner is served Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 5 - 8. Chefs, Walter and Karen, have been serving up fantastic meals.

Bingo is played on Mondays at 6 and again on Wednesday at 1. Show Me The Eagle is always a good time at 2 on Saturdays. Sundays are heating up with football and a great buffet starting at 1. New Resident Club

The club offers monthly activities and network opportunities. Monthly events consists of cocktails on the cape, dinner/dance, ladies luncheon, coffee social, game night, bowling, golfing, book club, potlucks and so much more.

Marine Veterans

The Calusa chapter of the Military Officers Association of America normally meets the second Saturday of each month from September through May at the Wine and Roses restaurant at 1404 Cape Coral Parkway in Cape Coral.
