Lester (Les) L. Dahlgren, 61, died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at HealthPark Hospital in Fort Myers.
He was born Aug. 16, 1951, in Forest City, N.C., to Chester and Janice Dahlgren. In 1983, he married his beloved bride, Susan. In the ensuing 29 years together, they were a team that was dedicated to providing the expertise that United Parcel Service relied on from Les as an HR director. After a very successful career with UPS, they retired to Cape Coral in 2006 where he could pursue his favorite activities: golf, boating and gardening. He was a loyal and very popular member of Palmetto-Pine Country Club in Cape Coral. In addition to playing the game, he was skilled in making golf clubs for his many friends.
When he wasn't playing golf, he was an avid follower of the stock market and current events. Although the Chicago Bears was his "home team," he enjoyed watching both professional and college sports. Taking an annual cruise was another way for the Dahlgrens to celebrate their retirement.

In addition to being survived by his loving wife, Susan, he will be missed forever by his mother-in-law, Helen Olenicki; his brothers-in-law; their wives; niece and nephews; and Blazer, his four legged companion.
His friendship touched many lives and his absence is a great loss.
