The Cape Coral Seahawks scored two goals in the final 15 minutes Tuesday night to post their first District 3A-11 win of the season 2-0 over South Fort Myers.

The unbeaten Seahawks (4-0, 1-0 district) broke the scoreless tie with 15 minutes remaining when senior Oscar Camacho knocked home a shot off an assist from Eli Vega. With five minutes remaining, the Seahawks scored an insurance goal by Miguel Martinez, assisted by Camillo Avendano.

Goalkeeper Alex Colazzo preserved the shutout by making 13 saves.

The Seahawks travel to Island Coast Thursday night and put their two-year regular-season unbeaten streak on the line Saturday at St. Thomas Aquinas.

Mariner 4, Island Coast 0: Isaiah Romano drilled a pair of goals to lead Mariner to a District 3A-11 victory Tuesday night at Island Coast.

Sean Garlan, Justin Kuchle and Eric Rivera added single goals for the Tritons (3-1, 1-0 district), who travel to Cypress Lake for another district game Thursday night.

Austin Turner, Daniel Gill and Jacob Olmstead were credited with Tritons assists.

Ida Baker 1, Palmetto Ridge 1: If this were poker, the Baker Bulldogs would have three of a kind after settling for a 1-1 tie Tuesday night at District 4A-12 rival Palmetto Ridge. The tie leaves the Bulldogs with a 1-1-1 season record.

Oscar Trujillo converted a penalty kick in the first half to put the Bulldogs (0-0-1 district) in front. Palmetto Ridge scored halfway through the second half to tie it.

"We put pressure on them most of the game," said Bulldogs coach Scott Wills. "Filander (Barahona) and Oscar had two or three one-on-ones each and either the defender recovered or the goakeeper made the save. We just weren't able to finish."

The Bulldogs are at Barron Collier Thursday night for their second district game of the season.
