Cape Alliance Church
Cape Alliance Church's current sermon series is "Journey with God; cure for a wasted life."
On Monday evenings at 7, Women in the Word continue their "Survey of the Bible." All women are invited to attend, learn and make new friends. A complete schedule of the fall session is located at Cape4Christ.com.
Each Tuesday morning at 10:30, Older Adults Knowing the Savior study various Bible books and topics. All older adults are welcome to participate.
On Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m., the "Coffee and Conversation" Club will discuss "Cost of Discipleship" by Dietrich Bonheoffer. The discussion group meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. The schedule is available at Cape4Christ.com.
Thursdays at 6:15 p.m., the church offers free English lessons to anyone interested. Bring your friends.
Each second and fourth Thursday at 6 p.m., women gather to knit and crochet shawls and pray for others. Participate in this ministry to the community and world.
Middle and high school student ministries "Ignite" and "Reson8" meet every Sunday evening at 6.

Cape Christian Fellowship
Cape Christian Fellowship has a worship time and style to fit everyone. Contemporary worship is held on Sunday mornings at 9:45 and 11:15. Traditions, which incorporates communion, classic hymns and a more relaxing atmosphere, is held Sunday mornings at 8:30. Family Nights is held on Fridays at 6:30 p.m., and is always followed by a special event or activity for the whole family to enjoy. All of the services have the same message.
During the 9:45 and 11:15 a.m. worship gatherings, Bugz Landing is where infants through Pre-K learn about how God loves them and how Jesus is their forever friend. KidzStreet is for children from kindergarten through 5th grade and Infuse is where middle school students learn to grow in their faith. There is a special service every Wednesday night, "Awakening" for high school students, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Cape Coral First United Methodist Church will be celebrating 50 years of making disciples of Jesus for the Transformation of the World. Cape Coral First United Methodist church's next sermon series is based on seeking and finding forgiveness. The need to forgive and be forgiven can be equated with carrying a backpack filled with rocks. Over time the tiny pebbles and giant boulders weigh us down and break more than our spirit. Learn how to receive the freedom that comes with forgiving-even if the person needing to be forgiven is yourself. Understand the challenges that come with learning to forgive and ask forgiveness.
GriefShare is a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. Classes are Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Parlor (room 104). Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar and group discussion. During small group discussion time, you'll have the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a recent loss, learn about their experiences and share your own. GriefShare is a nondenominational group and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. You are welcome to begin attending the GriefShare group at any session. Each is "self-contained" so you do not have to attend in sequence. You will find encouragement and help whenever you begin.
Foundations Early Learning Center provides childcare, preschool and afterschool care for children from infants to 4 years old in a new facility as part of the growing family and youth programs. Celebrate Halloween at Cape Coral First United Methodist church with its annual Trunk or Treat celebration!, Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 6-8 p.m. Join the church for fun, music, games and trunkloads of Candy. Church of Cape Coral
A Women's Study Group that meets Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. Participants will be viewing a DVD and discussing the workbook, "Respectfully Yours" from the Love and Respect Series. The cost is $10.
The church offers counseling services to individuals, couples and groups. All of us, from time to time, face challenges that threaten our security and exhaust our emotional and spiritual strength. Sunday morning worship service starts at 10:20 a.m., until noon. Sunday evenings at 5:30, dinner is served in the Fellowship Hall followed by a time of praise and worship at 6 p.m. The children's program and youth group meet on Sunday nights as well.

Faith Community Forum: Crisis & Opportunity
Faith Community Forums continue Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 6:30 p.m., with the "Crisis in Education in Lee County." There is no one better to address this topic than Lee County Superintendent Dr. Joseph E. Burke. He will be sharing his thoughts about the challenges and the demands placed upon schools educating a diverse student population with the skills necessary to be productive in the 21st century.
Before assuming the position as Superintendent of Lee County Schools, Dr. Burke was appointed as the Superintendent of Monroe County Schools by the governor of Florida. He served there for two years and then was hired here in Lee County. His previous experience as regional executive director of the Florida Department of Education and seven years of service as superintendent of schools in Springfield, Mass., adds up to the expertise necessary to handle the challenges of Lee County, the ninth largest district in Florida and the 40th largest district in the nation.

Fort Myers Christian Church will host its annual Fall Fest Saturday, Oct. 27. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This Fest is open to everyone. The Fest will have games (with prizes), a bounce house, slide, face painting, hot dogs, lemon shake-ups, and popcorn - all free!
