* 13th annual Southwest Florida Blues Festival

The 13th annual Southwest Florida Blues Festival will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, at the German American Social Club at 2101 Southwest Pine Island Road

Gates will open at 11 a.m. - Music from 11:45 a.m. - 9 p.m. $15 in advance / $ 20 at the gate

Kids 11 and under free with a paid adult.

* Cape Chorale to present Cabaret Show

The Cape Chorale, Lee County's only male acapella chorus affiliated with the Barbershop Harmony Society, will present its annual Cabaret Show at 2 p.m, Sunday, Oct. 14. Enjoy the world of barbershop harmony in the congenial surroundings of the Cape Coral Yacht Club, 5817 Driftwood Parkway, Cape Coral. This show is always a sell-out with many patrons returning year after year.

The chorus is eager to present its first public performance since taking fifth place in this year's statewide barbershop harmony singing contest.

It will be performing a number of new songs while guests enjoy complimentary snacks and soft drinks and have a chance to win numerous door prizes. Guests are free to bring beverages of their choice and other munchies. Some even bring pizza.

An added bonus this year is the appearance of guest quartet Sassy, current holders of the Sweet Adelines Region 9 champions title. These four talented women, members of the Ft. Myers Spirit of the Gulf chorus, are representing the region at the upcoming International contest to be held in Denver.

* Alice in Wonderland, A Mystery Oct. 20

Alice in Wonderland, A Mystery, will be held from 6:30 p.m. -9:30 p.m. Oct. 20, at the Southwest Florida Museum of History, 2031 Jackson Street, Fort Myers.

Join Alice for the Symphony's interactive event featuring Clues, Croquet (with Pink Flamingos, of course) and Costumes! Take a trip down the rabbit hole into the fantasy world of the White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts in this entertaining themed event.

It all happens at the Southwest Florida Museum of History. Come play this fun interactive game. Solve the clues, grab a flamingo and meet the musicians. Could it be the smashed tarts or the broken bottle marked "Drink Me!" that we are seeking? The event will start with a jazz concert featuring members of the Southwest Florida Symphony. Croquet and the Mystery Game to follow. Food and beverages will be served with a cash bar. The Silent Auction includes the chance to conduct the Symphony, trips and art. Tickets are $50 per person
