Oasis 3, Southwest Florida Christian 2: Making a special night honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Monday night even more special, the Oasis Sharks volleyball team made it exciting as well by winning a five-game match over Southwest Florida Christian 25-17, 24-26, 27-25, 20-25, 20-18 at the Shark Tank.

Marion Chlipala, Larra Bickelhaupt and Tiffany Schramm led the way to victory for the Sharks. Chlipala came up with 20 kills, 13 digs and three service aces. Bickelhaupt delivered 21 kills to go with three aces and a dozen digs. Schramm made 30 digs along with three blocks, two kills and three aces.

The win boosts the Sharks to 12-5 on the season heading into Wednesday's home match against Mariner when teachers will be honored.

"It was an awesome night," said Sharks coach James Mikolajczyk. "We're still counting the money we raised in the fight against cancer."

Roses were presented before the match to all in attendance at "Dig Pink" night who are battling cancer or who have won their battle with the deadly disease.

All proceeds (including admissions) go to the Side-Out Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to the unification of the sport of volleyball and its alliance with the movement for breast cancer awareness and education (www.side-out.org).

Wednesday's match against Mariner is all about teachers at Oasis as well as any other past or present teacher. During pre-game festivities, teachers and players will be introduced to the crowd.
