Tritons outscore North, Oasis

Mariner 171, North Fort Myers 177, Oasis 197: Led by co-medalist Tanner Vandemark with a 2-over-par round of 38, the Mariner Tritons picked up a pair of wins Thursday over North Fort Myers and Oasis at Coral Oaks Golf Course.

Vandemark shared medalist honors with North's Zak Holton. J.P. Schlueter led Oasis with a 3-over 39.

The Tritons (6-2) play in the Ida Baker Invitational Friday at Coral Oaks. North is 6-3 on the season and Oasis 1-3.

Mariner 171 - Tanner Vandemark 38, John Inkster 44, Jordan Kenney 44, Austin Vecciarelli 45.

North FM 177 - Zak Holton 38, Eric Schnell-Hall 41, Cameron Coggins 48, T.J. Bubar 50.

Oasis 197 - J.P. Schlueter 39, Gina Falvey 49, Dylan Greenwell 53, Jack Monsell 56.


Ida Baker 3, Island Coast 1: Island Coast hung close, won one game, but in the end fell to Ida Baker 25-18, 25-27, 25-23, 25-17 Thursday night.

Kristina Kayatta powered the Bulldogs with 11 kills to go with six digs and Ali Nicloy added seven kills. The offense clicked behind setters Tiffany Wood (16 assists) and Brittney Benvie 10 assists.

Kalli Roggow led the Gators with eight kills, Olivia Lugo contributed 11 assists, Morgan Whitman served up four aces to go with 22 digs and Marina Zuspann added 10 digs.

The Bulldogs (7-4, 1-0 district) play at Riverdale on Thursday.The Gators (1-5) host North Fort Myers on Wednesday.

Cypress Lake 3, Mariner 0: Heather Gillions led offensively with four kills and three service aces while Summer Greenwell led with outstanding defense, but to no avail as Mariner lost at Cypress Lake 25-21, 25-13, 25-14 Thursday night.

The Tritons (2-4) play at North Fort Myers on Tuesday.

Oasis 3, St. John Neumann 0: Marion Chlipapa had 11 kills and six service aces to lead the Oasis Sharks to a 25-9, 25-22, 25-13 win over St. John Neumann Thursday night.

Larra Bickelhaupt contributed 11 kills and two aces to the Sharks' win. Oasis (9-3) host Evangelical Christian at 6 p.m. Friday.
