FORT MYERS - The Florida State League announced its 2012 postseason All-Star team, and making the cut for the Fort Myers Miracle was catcher Josmil Pinto.
Pinto batted .295 with 12 home runs and 51 RBIs in 93 games with the Miracle before being promoted to AA New Britain on August 22. The slugger was also chosen as a mid-season All-Star, but he caught fire in the second half. Pinto hit .392 in July and .356 in August with the Miracle.
The only other catcher from the FSL to be named a postseason All-Star was Clearwater's Cameron Rupp.
Bradenton first baseman Alex Dickerson was named the FSL Player of the Year, while Clearwater's Austin Wright was selected as the league's Pitcher of the Year.
Ryan Ellis of the St. Lucie Mets was picked as the Manager of the Year.
The postseason All-Star team was selected by the field managers, official scorers and club sports writers representing the 12 teams in the league.
