Country music jams to begin Sunday at the Shell Factory

August 18, 2012
By ANDREA GALABINSKI (nfmneighbor@breezenewspapers.com) , Cape Coral Daily Breeze

The Florida Country Music Association will hold a monthly jam at the Shell Factory & Nature Park every third Sunday of every month beginning this week.

Sonny White, who was inducted into the Florida Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005, won Senior Male Country and Gospel Vocalist that same year, and was named Senior Male Country and Gospel Vocalist again in 2007, said he is excited about this opportunity.

"I will be performing," said White, who lives in North Fort Myers.

There will be no charge to attend. The jam will start at noon and last about three hours.

"We have good bands, single entertainers and most of the members play music," White said.

"We have steel guitars, electric guitars, acoustic instruments and great singers," he added. "If someone is interested in joining, they can come up and perform for one time, then they need to join if they want to keep performing with us.
