Defenseman Bobby Raymond, a key contributor to the Florida Everblades' first ECHL Kelly Cup championship run, has agreed to terms to return to the team for the 2012-13 season.
Raymond, 27, tallied 12 points (3g, 9a) and a plus-13 rating last season. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound blue-liner also recorded 10 points (2g, 8a) in 18 playoff games last spring to help win the club's first title. Raymond also appeared in 38 games with the Binghamton Senators last season.
"Bobby is a proven winner having won championships at the ECHL and AHL levels," said Blades coach Greg Poss. "He is a skilled defenseman, and has excellent skating ability. We are pleased to be able to bring back a player of his caliber to the team for next season."
The Blades open their 15th anniversary season in Southwest Florida on Oct. 12 against the Orlando Solar Bears at Germain Arena.
