Brooke Callahan was named Ms. Oktoberfest at an event Saturday at the German American Social Club in Cape Coral.
"It was very difficult for the judges to pick a winner, because they were all very nice girls, well spoken and lovely women," said Teresa Kohl, chairperson of the Ms. Oktoberfest Pageant.
"She's a local radiation therapist. She treats cancer patients," Kohl said. They had a nice turnout, she added.
The newly crowned Oktoberfest queen Brooke Callahan is presented to the crowd by German American Social Club President Hubert Prem Saturday evening.
Callahan will reign over the two Oktoberfest weekends and the two annual garten fests in February and March. She will also be featured in the German American Club Float at the Edison Festival of Lights parade.
"There are many other events where she will be representing our club," she said.
This is the 24th year for the pageant.
The German American Social Club is located on Pine Island Road, about 1/4 mile west of Chiquita Boulevard. The phone number is 283-1400 and email Info@GASC-CapeCoral.com.
