Police release suveillance photos from robbery

The Cape Coral Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a man sought in connection to an early morning robbery at a 7-Eleven store.

At 4:40 a.m. Monday, the man entered the store at Del Prado Boulevard and Pine Island Road. He was wearing a sweater wrapped around his face to conceal his identity.

The man approached the cashier and told him to give him the money from the cash register. The man did not display a weapon. However, he concealed his hand in an effort to give the appearance he may be armed.

The clerk handed the man an undisclosed amount of cash, and the man fled the store on foot.
