To the editor:
On Monday, 11 June the City Politburo d/b/a the Slick 6, ended the existence of the City Charter Review Commission. This was done hard on the heels of their liquidation of the Financial Advisory Committee. In the best of totalitarian traditions the Slick 6 again silenced viewpoints that may diverge from their party line. Let's see how the Slick 6 attempt to muzzle the Commission when they present their unanimous recommendation to Council that the City Charter be revised to make Council Members more responsible to voters by changing the current at large system to single district representation.
