Patricia Jean “Pat” Lund Brown

Patricia Jean "Pat" Lund Brown, 80, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. He was born April 30, 1932, to Jack and Dorothy Lund in Atkinson, Ill.

She is survived by her sisters, Rose Marie Gleason and Inez Vandersnick; daughter, Julie B. Claus; granddaughters, Sara B. Montgomery, Heather B. Brindise, Colleen M. Claus and Shannon M. Claus; and great-grandchildren, Eleanor and George Montgomery.

This loss has greatly saddened all, yet there is comfort in knowing she is now with her predeceased husband, Richard "Bud" Brown, and children, Richard "Rick," Kathy and Steven Brown, for heaven holds the dearly departed.

She married Richard Brown July 14, 1951, in Atkinson, Ill. Shortly after the birth of their first son, Rick, she traveled to Germany to join Bud where he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After returning home, Bud and Pat lived in Anna-wan. She worked at the Annawan Bank until moving to Cape Coral in 1967. While raising their family in Southwest Florida, Bud was the proprietor of Bud's TV Repair in Fort Myers Beach and Pat worked for the First Bank of Cape Coral. Their family moved to Gainesville in 1978. While in Gainesville,she worked for North Florida Regional Medical Center, Alachua General Hospital and Alachua County Social Services.

She was a caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Those who knew her best will remember her for her compassion and love for all of God's creatures.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 25, at 1 p.m., at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers.
