Mary Margaret McGarry-Williams, 54, a Cape Coral resident for 20 years, formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y., died Saturday, May 12, 2012, in Cape Coral. She was born Oct. 23, 1957, in Brooklyn.
She graduated from Edison College and was a registered nurse at the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers. She liked being outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her loving son, Jason Schwarz of Cape Coral; her mother, Helen McGarry of Cape Coral; a sister, Eileen (James) Meyer of New York; two brothers, Joseph (Christine) McGarry of New York and James (Leslie) McGarry of Cape Coral; two grandsons, Jason and Joseph Schwarz, both of Cape Coral; as well as a daughter-in-law, Sara Schwarz, also of Cape Coral; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph McGarry; a son, Douglas Schwarz in 1978; and her husband, Richard Williams in 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, at Mullins Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1056 N.E. 7th Terrace, Cape Coral with Chaplain David Goins officiating. Visitation will be held from noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
