Pauline Marie Champion died March 15, 2012. She was born Oct. 12, 1931, in Pittsburgh, to Paul Martin Williams and Marie M. Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Dr. William O. Champion; and her son-in-law, Dana Michael Taylor.
She is survived by her loving family, including her daughter, Pauline M. Taylor; son, Paul M. (Madolyn) Champion; Laurie Yaufman-Champion and Ronald G. Pentaude; grandchildren, Brittney Taylor, Jenna, Nicholas and Kaley Champion; and step-grandchildren, Rosalyn (Michael) Champion-Gross, Jemere (Lisa) Monete and Heather Hellwege.
She moved to Lee County, Fla., with her family in 1969. She became the church secretary of Redeemer Luthern Church in Fort Myers and served the Lord in that position for more than 30 years. She was exceptionally compassionate and giving and will be missed by all whom knew her.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 28, for family and friends in the Chapel of the Hope Hospice House of Cape Coral, 2430 Diplomat Parkway, East, Cape Coral, at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Hope Hospice.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Cape Coral, the staff at Cape Coral Hospital in the ICU and 4W, and the staff at Hope Hospice for taking care of Pauline and allowing her to die with dignity.
