Next month's roster of activities at Northwest Regional Library offers topics for all ages. The following activities are free to the public:
ADULTS
English Caf
Thursdays, April 19, 26
Practice your English with English Cafe, a free, conversation session for adult ESOL and ESL students. Each 90-minute session provides adult learners an opportunity to practice speaking English with native speakers. Participants may start at any time. Advanced registration is not necessary.
Nibbles and Novels
10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 11
Chat about books and discover new favorites. Enjoy a snack and meet other book lovers. Come join us.
Book Discussion:
Chris Cleave's "Little Bee"
2 p.m. Wednesday, April 18
"Little Bee" is the story of an unlikely friendship that forms between a illegal Nigerian refugee and a British magazine editor when they meet on a beach under horrific circumstances. How their lives intermingle makes the story unforgettable.
FAMILY
Baby-Parent Rhyme Time

Be prepared to tickle, jump and fly with your baby! These rhymes and songs are for infants, up to 24 months, accompanied by an adult. This 20-minute program is filled with songs designed to introduce rhyming and movement to infants. Registration is required.
Family Storytime

This program is for the whole family and lasts about 30 minutes. Registration is required.
CHILDREN
It's Spring! Storytime and Craft

Come to the library for a special storytime and craft. For ages 3 to 8. Registration is required.
Kids Read Down Fines

Children and teens can earn a $2 coupon for every 15 minutes of reading during the allotted time in the designated area of the library. For ages 18 and under. Coupons may be applied to cards issued to patrons age 18 and under only.
Cool Stuff
6 p.m. Tuesday, April 17
For tweens ages 10-12, Cool Stuff will feature activities in science, technology and fun for the creative mind. Supplies provided by the Friends of the Northwest Regional Library. Registration is required.
A Penny Saved Story Time and Craft
6 p.m. Tuesday, April 24
Kids, come to the library for a special storytime and craft. For ages 3 to 8. Registration is required.
TEENS

Gather with like minded Yu Gi Oh card players in the Teen Caf. Play for fun and share strategies, this is not a tournament.

Head Contest

Available during normal library operating hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10 a.m. 6 p.m.; Tuesday: 12 p.m. 8 p.m.; Friday, Saturday: 9 a.m. 5 p.m.
Create a grass head using grass, potting soil, a container, water and a lot of love. Grow your head and enter it in the Green Grass Head photo contest. Prizes for best shape, most grass, best smile and more.
