Caloosahatchee Forestry Center will conduct two prescribed burns Thursday, March 22:
Lee County: State Road 31, north of Palm Beach Boulevard 80 acres
Hendry County: Sic Island Road, Okaloacoochee Slough State Forest 100 acres
Prescribed burns reduce the density of vegetation and the risks associated with catastrophic wildfire. Regular prescribed burns help ensure safety, promote healthy forests and enhance wildlife habitat.
