The angels came on March 4, 2012, for George J. Gordon, 85, of Cape Coral, to escort him to his heavenly home. He was born on May 17, 1926, at Ellsworth, Ohio, son of Walter and Mary Gordon. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a courier in Germany.
While living in Ohio he worked for Foster & Vencel Tire Company as credit and sales manager. His "people personality" and safety minded concern for his customers made his many lasting friends. As a hobby he built many beautiful homes in the Warren, Ohio, area and also did the landscaping. He enjoyed attending NASCAR races and also watching his two son's race motorcycles.
He leaves behind legacy of love and family, which includes his devoted and loving wife of 57 years, Marguerite Tinan Gordon; his children, Greg and Gary of Cape Coral and Gail Enfinger of Wauchula, Fla.; his grandchildren, D'Cody and Brittany Gordon and Ethan Enfinger; his brother, Richard of Ellsworth, Ohio; and niece, Michele Hubbs of Carrollton, Ohio.
