Timothy William Hermann, 59, of Cape Coral died Friday, March 9, 2012, at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral. He was born Aug. 4, 1952, in Burlington, Iowa, a child of Richard Eggleston and Dorothy Rebecca (Rossiter) Hermann.

A Cape Coral resident since 1986, he previously lived in Davenport, Iowa. He worked locally as a salesman in the floor covering industry. He was an avid Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye fan.

He, along with the four other members of The Macabras, his teenage garage band, were to travel to Iowa this September to be inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He was the drummer for the band.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Bonita A. "Bonnie" (Boehnke) Hermann; his daughter, Megan Rebecca (Joe) Aring of Taylor Ridge, Ill.; his stepchildren, Brenda Swan of Cape Coral, Mindy (Justin) Norsworthy of Fort Myers and Justin Daniel (Kim Merritt) Long of Seattle; seven grandchildren and his brother, Jeffrey Allen (Shelley) Hermann of Springfield, Ill.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Susan Gay Bamesberger, who died in 2004.

He was loved and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

The family will hold a private memorial service.
