The Ida Baker Bulldogs remain perfect on the softball season after shutting out Fort Myers 8-0 Tuesday night on pitcher Maddy Peres' second straight no-hitter.
Peres, who struck out 16 batters, and the Bulldogs are both 5-0 on the season with all five wins being shutouts. They have outscored their opponents 46-0.
Deniece Bent contributed two base hits and scored twice. Louie Ross and Brittney Benvie drove in three runs apiece for the Bulldogs (5-0, 3-0 district), who host Fort Myers in another district match Thursday night.

Mariner 9, Island Coast 0: Alyssa Langdale struck out 15 batters and went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Mariner to victory Tuesday night at Island Coast.
