Zee joins FineMark National Bank & Trust

Stevens Construction begins Florida Hospital Carrollwood renovation

Stevens Construction has started renovating the radiology department at Florida Hospital Carrollwood located in Tampa, announced Mark Stevens, company president.

The Carrollwood hospital is located at 7171 N. Dale Mabry Highway and the project will occur in multiple phases while the facility remains fully operational.

Scheduled for completion in February of 2012, Burt Hill/Pollock Krieg Architects is providing the design.

Entrepreneur's Law School Jan. 28 at Florida Gulf Coast University

The 2012 Entrepreneur's Law School, presented by the Small Business Development Center at Florida Gulf Coast University, is an all-day workshop that offers the opportunity to get small business legal questions answered by professionals in the field of law.

The next course will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Student Union Building at FGCU, 10501 FGCU Blvd., S., in Fort Myers,

Choose from tracks of 50 minutes each on subjects such as legal contracts, commercial leases, legal structures, business continuity, employment law, foreclosures, and more!

The day will kick off with a continental breakfast sponsored by Costco at 8:30 a.m. Sessions will be conducted by area attorneys, followed by lunch with the attorneys, highlighted by guest lunch speaker Dr. Wilson G. Bradshaw, FGCU president.

The afternoon session includes a dynamic panel discussion on the effects of small business bankruptcy from a legal, tax, finance and insurance perspective. In addition to the workshops, a mini trade show will take place.

association forum

Steve Brettholtz, principal of Myers, Brettholtz & Company, PA, certified public accountants and business consultants, served as a panelist Dec. 15 and 16 for the Community Association Officers Forum.

Brettholtz mediated and presented on the topic "Managing the Finances of an Association During Challenging Times" along with the six-person panel.

The CAOF is a community-based educational initiative created to serve the information needs of board members for Lee and Collier county homeowners associations, condominiums and cooperatives. The CAOF is focused on the delivery of substantive information to board members to assist them in dealing with critical governance issues, including funds management, insurance, disaster planning, legislative matters, and board member responsibilities.

Babel named director

Joseph R. Catti, president and CEO of FineMark National Bank & Trust and Brian Eagleston, executive vice president and CFO, have announced that Jason Manwell has joined the bank as an information technology specialist, and the addition of Stacy Geisler as teller.

Manwell brings 13 years of I.T. experience to FineMark, working for software companies and another bank. He most recently worked as a systems engineer for a technology consulting company.

Geisler will work in the Fort Myers office. She was previously a teller for two banks in the Orlando area, but was eager to return home to Southwest Florida.
