Four players with ties to Southwest Florida brought home gold medals from the four-day Winter National Senior Games Pickleball Championship that ended Sunday in Rochester, N.Y.

Nancy Meyer of North Fort Myers won three gold medals, one with part-time Naples resident Jan Konn in the women's 50-54 age division and one with Duane Fregoe in the 50-54 mixed doubles division. Fregoe's parents reside in Cape Coral.

Meyer also teamed with Cape Coral's Mike Welter to win the 55-59 mixed doubles gold medal

Welter became a double gold medal winner when he captured the men's 55-59 doubles title with Tucson's Dave Jordan, whose mother lives in Fort Myers.

Welter also won a silver medal in the 55-59 singles championship.
