Mirror Mirror opens
Mirror Mirror, a hair and nail salon, has opened at 1223 S.E. 47th Terrace, in South Cape Coral. There will be a grand opening/ribbon-cutting ceremony at the salon at 5 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 25, and the public is invited. The event will feature refreshments and appetizers, gift baskets, a raffle drawing and more.

Anthony's on the BLVD
to celebrate fourth anniversary
Anthony's on the BLVD in Cape Coral is celebrating four years in business by hosting a customer appreciation pig roast and comedy roast of the owner, Tony Serrago, Saturday, Aug. 20.
Serrago is looking forward to celebrating four years in business with people who helped make it possible - his customers.
The pig roast will be held at noon Saturday. The $10 all-you-can-eat event will be served until supplies last. The tented outdoor patio bar will be open and there will be outdoor games, a limbo contest and cornhole - for prizes.
The roast of Serrago is a benefit for cancer research. The highest bidders will be able to roast the owner starting at 7 p.m.

Hussey named district chair of committee
Pavese Law Firm partner Alison C. Hussey has been named chair of The Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar Committee for District 6960. The eight-county district includes 56 Rotary clubs from Palmetto to Marco Island.
Hussey will oversee a committee of nine Rotary members who are responsible for reviewing applications and selecting Ambas-sadorial Scholarship recipients who are awarded funding for travel, tuition, books and room and board. The purpose of the Ambas-sadorial Scholarships program is to further international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries and geographical areas.

'Volunteer of Distinction'
R. Alan Wilcox, MAI, SRA, of Cape Coral has been recognized as the Appraisal Institute's August "Volunteer of Distinction" for Region X.
The Appraisal Institute is the nation's largest professional association of real estate appraisers; Region X consists of Florida and Puerto Rico. Wilcox is a member of the West Coast Florida Chapter.

to hold grand re-opening
The Laser Lounge Spa, a medical day spa located at 20400 Trailside Drive in Estero, will hold a grand re-opening Friday, Aug. 26. There will be two celebrations: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and 5-8 p.m.
