Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Allyson L. Schuler graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

She is the daughter of Susan McGraw of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Eric Schuler of Fort Myers.

Schuler graduated in 2004 from East Kentwood High School, Kentwood, Mich., and received a bachelor's degree in 2008 from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo.
