The Outdoor Kitchen Design Center is a showroom located at 629 Cape Coral Parkway that was opened by Shorty and Jan Hedges featuring weather-proof cabinets for outdoor kitchens, poolside bars, and marine dock areas. These are a very unique outdoor products because they are made from marine grade polymer, which will tolerate the Florida climate without fading or deteriorating.
The store also offers grills and outdoor appliances to complete the outdoor kitchen area and a free design service to create a cooking area for any style or layout.

'Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility' program today
Southwest Florida Financial Planners Association will present "Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility" by Kenneth J. Zahn CFP today, May 26. Check in 4:15 p.m., with the meeting from 4:45-6:45 p.m. The cost for FPA members is $25, and non-members, $35.
The presentation will be held at the Estero Country Club, 19501 Vintage Trace Circle, Fort Myers. This meeting is approved for two CE Hours for CFP Ethis Requirement.

Harry Chapin Food Bank finalist in car give-away
The Fort Myers-based Harry Chapin Food Bank is one of 500 finalists in Toyota's 100 Cars for Good program, which will award vehicles to 100 nonprofit organizations based on votes from the public beginning May 9, 2011.
Toyota's 100 Cars for Good program will showcase five non-profit organizations each day for 100 days on Toyota's Facebook page, facebook.com/toyota. Visitors to the page can vote once a day for the organization that they feel is most deserving of a new Toyota vehicle. Harry Chapin Food Bank will be one of the five organizations highlighted for voting on June 26.
Local residents are encouraged to support the Harry Chapin Food Bank and their quest for a new Toyota Highlander. If the Harry Chapin Food Bank receives the most votes and is awarded the vehicle, it will be used in food drives and the delivery of food.
The Harry Chapin Food Bank solicits, collects and stores quality food for distribution to families in need through a network of more than 170 local nonprofit agencies in Lee, Collier, Hendry, Charlotte and Glades counties, who provide food to more than 30,000 people monthly. Over 900,000 pounds of food are distributed monthly. In the past fiscal year, The Harry Chapin Food Bank distributed more than 11.5 million pounds of food and other grocery products.
