ST. PETE BEACH (AP) - Authorities are investigating what caused several people to become sick during services at a St. Petersburg-area church.
Seven parishioners at St. John Vianney Catholic Church reported feeling dizzy, nauseous and fatigued; four of them were hospitalized.
St. Pete Beach fire chief Dan Graves says emergency crews found clear liquid under a pew in the second row. A hazmat team took samples of the substance to check whether it was the culprit.
About 2,000 church-goers were evacuated from the building. The Palm Sunday Mass continued at the church's Parish Hall.
