INDIAN ROCKS BEACH (AP) - The boyfriend of a missing police cadet is refusing to cooperate with investigators.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said Monday that 46-year-old David R. Perry recently returned to Florida after abruptly going to New York the weekend 35-year-old Kelly Rothwell disappeared. They say detectives asked him Sunday if he would submit a DNA sample, but he refused.
Rothwell, who is enrolled at the Pinellas Police Academy in St. Petersburg, was last seen March 12. Perry, her live-in boyfriend, refused to speak with detectives.
