A new 24-hour self-serve mogas fuel station is up and running at Page Field General Aviation Airport. The 1,500-gallon tank dispenses 93 octane/ethanol free unleaded gas that fuels many light sport planes as well as aircraft with a Supplemental Type Certificate that run on unleaded gasoline. The addition of this fuel supports the ongoing development of Page Field and the services it can provide to its general aviation customers.
The tank was delivered, installed and received permitting from the Department of Environmental Protection on June 7, 2010. The mogas fuel station is located adjacent to the 100LL (avgas) self-service fuel facility off the approach end of Runway 31 at FMY.
Page Field General Aviation Airport, operated by the Lee County Port Authority, accommodated nearly 76,000 aircraft operations during 2009. More than 300 aircraft, including jets, turboprops, twins, singles and helicopters make Page Field their home on a full-time basis. No ad valorem (property) taxes are used for airport operation or construction. For more information, visit the airport's Web site at www.flyfmy.com
