The Realtor Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Beach Inc., is pleased to announce its 2010 Board of Directors.

The installation of Christie Knight, Preferred Choice Realty, as president of CORE took place on Dec. 5. Knight has been an active member of the Realtor Association since 2003. In 2005 she was elected to the Realtor Association Board of Directors and has served as a Director for the Florida Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Locally, she sits as a member of the Lee County 20/20 Conservation Committee and on the Horizon Council. Introducing Knight at her installation banquet was special guest Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp.

Gary Verwilt has been elected as president-elect on the CORE Board of Directors. Verwilt, manager of Realty Executives Southwest Florida, holds the GRI, SRES and "At Home with Diversity" designations. He has been chair of the Public Policy and RPAC committees, treasurer of the association, and serves the Greater Fort Myers Community as a member of Smart Growth and Reconnecting Lee task forces.

The other officers for 2010 are Doreen Falcone, treasurer, Alliant Realty Group; Marion Briggs, secretary, Sun County Realty of Florida; and Suzanne Sherer, past president, RE/MAX Realty Team. Additionally, the following individuals have been elected to serve a two-year term as directors on the board: Jim Maginness, Exit Realty Sunrise; Cindy Roberts, Realty World Roberts; Karen Swanbeck, Coldwell Banker Residential Realty; and John Toney, Century 21 Sunbelt Realty. Directors completing their two-year term on the board are: Jeanne Armin, Coldwell Banker Residential Realty; Ron Carpenter, Realty Executives Southwest Florida; Connie Gustafson, Prudential Florida Realty; Marge Mathers, Sun Country Realty of Florida; and Deborah Murray, Keller Williams World Class Realty.
