The Animal Refuge Center is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once ARC accepts an animal for adoption,it will not be destroyed to make room for another. ARC is here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.

» ARCJune is Cat Adoption Month and animal rescue workers say there is no better time to adopt a new four-pawed friend.
For one day only, June 13, the Animal Refuge Center will reduce the adoption fee for an ARC adult cat to $50, a $15 savings.
This fee covers vaccinations, spay-neuter, test for FIV or leukemia, deworming, flea preventative, micro-chipping, a goody bag and a 6-pound bag of Science Diet dry cat food.
Each registered visitor on June 13 is automatically entered into a free drawing for a chance at winning Petco gift cards, restaurant certificates, Exxon/Mobil gas cards or other items donated by area businesses.
The top prize is a three-day two-night stay at the Walt Disney Dolphin & Swan resort in Orlando.
This event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the sanctuary located at 18011 Old Bayshore Rd, North Fort Myers.
