MIAMI (AP) — Miami-Dade Police say three officers have been injured in a series of shootings and taken to a hospital.
Police officials say the officers' injuries are not life-threatening.
One officer was shot early Tuesday, and the others were injured at a separate location in a confrontation with two suspects.
Police spokesman Alvaro Zabaleta says the first officer's shooting was reported just after 5 a.m. Tuesday in northwestern Miami-Dade County.
No additional details were immediately available.
A Jackson Memorial Hospital spokeswoman referred questions about the officers to police.
