Police: Truck driver captured, sought in Pa., Fla.

MORGANTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a tractor-trailer driver who allegedly drove away from an eastern Pennsylvania traffic stop with a trooper clinging to the cab of his truck is facing charges including aggravated assault and resisting arrest.

Police in Berks County said 56-year-old Harold A. Davis Jr. of Philadelphia was taken into custody Friday morning in Caernarvon Township, where Thursday's incident occurred.

Troopers from the Morgantown barracks say Davis drove through a truck inspection detail on Interstate 176 after a check of his license showed he was wanted on a robbery warrant from Florida. He later fled into the woods.

Davis was taken to Reading Hospital following his capture after he complained of chest pain; a listed number for him couldn't be found and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.
