School mourns nurse whose body was found in field

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A South Florida school will rename its health clinic after a nurse whose body was found in a sugar cane field.

Bak Middle School of the Arts reported Kimberly Lindsey missing early last week. Days later, Lindsey's body was found in Hendry County. Authorities are investigating Lindsey's death as a homicide.

Bak officials tell The Palm Beach Post ( ) they will rename the clinic at the West Palm Beach school in Lindsey's memory. Grief counselors will be at the school Monday to talk with students and staff.

Palm Beach County Schools Superintendent Wayne Gent says Lindsey's death is "such a tragic event for the school and community."

Lindsey was last seen last weekend. Authorities say there had been a violent confrontation at Lindsey's home, after which her body was moved.
