NEW YORK (AP) — Abner Louima will be stumping for Ken Thompson, the Democratic nominee for Brooklyn district attorney.
Thompson is a former federal prosecutor who tried the brutal police attack on the Haitian immigrant in 1999.
According to the Daily News (http://nydn.us/1gL5U2V ), his campaign says Louima will appear with Thompson and Rev. Al Sharpton on Saturday and at church visits on Sunday.
Louima, who now lives in Florida, says "when we needed justice, Ken Thompson delivered."
Thompson squares off against incumbent Charles Hynes on Nov. 5.
Hynes lost the Democratic nomination to Thompson. He's running on the GOP line.
