MIAMI (AP) — Police say a marijuana growing operation has been found at the home of a South Florida man suspected of fatally shooting two women and killing a third in a car crash while fleeing authorities.
Miami-Dade County police said Thursday that 43 live marijuana plants were found at the home of 48-year-old Antonio Feliu. Investigators say there was a hydroponic growing lab in the house. The plants are valued at over $107,000.
Feliu is believed to have fatally shot his ex-girlfriend and her grown daughter in Miami, then led police on a high-speed chase into western Broward County. There Feliu slammed into a car after running a red light, killing its female driver.
Feliu also died at the scene of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
