DESTIN, Fla. (AP) — A judge sentenced a Florida Panhandle man to 23.6 years in prison for his part in the fatal shooting of a man during a drug deal.
Arderious Warren pleaded guilty July 25 to second-degree murder and first-degree attempted murder in the 2012 shooting that left Junior Christopher Ferguson dead and Peter Frazier injure. The judge on Monday ruled that 26-year-old Warren will serve "life probation" upon his release from prison.
The Northwest Florida Daily News (http://bit.ly/17PBBS1 ) reports Warren and 23-year-old Deaundros Blackshear met the pair at Destin's Gulf Terrace Condominiums on Nov. 15, 2012, to buy marijuana.
According to testimony presented in Blackshear's trial, he declined to pay for the drugs and opened fire. Blackshear was sentenced to life in prison following a trial in February.
