Universal ejects Fla. man because of T-shirt

September 6, 2013
Associated Press

JUPITER, Fla. (AP) — A Palm Beach County man says his family was ejected from Universal Studios in Orlando because his T-shirt contained the word 'police' and he's not a law enforcement officer.

The incident happened Aug. 24, when Christian Jarosz and his family were celebrating his daughter's 16th birthday.

The Palm Beach Post (http://bit.ly/13kZlvw ) reports the shirt was a gift from Jarosz's brother who is a retired police officer in New York. He says he's worn it to other theme parks without incident.

He says security stopped him and told him he couldn't wear the shirt there. Jarosz says he "never cursed or got loud" but the family was asked to leave the park and threated with arrest if they didn't leave.

Universal officials told the Post they responded properly to the situation.
