The ball fields at Oasis weren't even being thought of when the money for Irma recovery was used. Those fields came up when the parks bond issue was passed, but none of that bond can be used for them. The problem with using FEMA funds is that the money being replaced in the budget is taxpayer money. You can bet the taxpayers won't be able to use those fields for neighborhood pickup games.

Good points. I was one of the ones questioning using those funds for other things because I didn't realize that only 9 million came out of the disaster reserves, with the rest coming from unallocated reserves. If that was delaying these other projects, then I'm ok with it. You might consider adding that to your editorial.
