Rooney has walked the walk

September 6, 2018

To the editor: I have had the good fortune of knowing Francis Rooney since 2015 when I asked him a lot of tough questions on economic growth in our area and water quality including flood insurance......

Elect David Holden to represent the workers of our District, not the corporate interests that Rooney represents.

Yeah he has walked the walk alright! He walked right into Big Sugars office and walked out with a pocket full of money! And we, the taxpayers, get screwed again!

The congressman has not accepted funds from the entities grouped as "Big Sugar"nor does he accept PAC donations.

I really appreciate Ms Vharring’s forays into ombudsmanship. We really need it. Of course when you confront Conservatives with facts their acceptance of the referee soars and plummets with favorable calls.

There is nothing wrong w/Rooney if u don’t mind his membership in the billionaire’s club, a developer and pals with Red Tide Rick aka Madoff of Medicare.

Unless he is a secret Philanthropist (and what politician is) he is looking out for the .01%. He has supported GWBush and Jeb Bush. That tells me Big Oil. That in turn, says anti-environment, not to mention Red Tide Rick (who raided water management funding).

What kind of intelligence does it take to tie developers to abuse of the water resource of Florida? High density development is one of the primary impacts on infrastructure…period.

Please point out a list of things Rooney has even tried to do for the working class (middle or the poor).

"Divesting" Red Tide?

Maybe this is just another attempt by Conservatives to confuse people.

Last time checked divesting was something businesses did when they have squeezed all they can from an investment or see poor prospects for the future. So Rooney "divesting" from it it is about what we have come to expect from Republicans dealing with disasters. Ask the American citizens of Puerto Rico about Trumps "divestiture" of responsibility there.

An update for Red Tide Rick and Rooney: The Red tide is spreading north to Maderia and Clearwater.

Wonder if by Friday corporal anti will be headlining - Trump caused Mid-Atlantic Hurricane!!....After writing Republicans Are "Pigs" "Manatee Killers" "Russian Spies & Racists" that "should be dragged through the streets"...anything is possible. Now the Gov is responsible for red tide that's naturally occurring? lolol But polls and water managers are mostly to blame for our G.algae problem, both Dem & Rep. Democrat Bill Nelson in 1990 promised to address the issue. Grow up. Puerto ? As corrupt as Mexico whose infrastructure was in shambles BEFORE any hurricane mostly do to corruption. Totally unprepared. US Shipping containers on the ground there never delivered or opened and stolen from. Massive expenditure. Puerto needs to clean up corruption or no progress possible. But it gives the zealot short thinkers faux "ammo" for more mindless chronic hate based rants.

Seafood -- I note that while you seldom have anything new to say, you have a highly developed palaverous "talent" of doing so in a veritable gushing torrent of miscellanous wordlets ! ! !

Are you one or a group-vent ? ?

Now you have the Red Tide "naturally occurring". . I suppose you also consider firearms deaths "naturally occurring" -- the natural consequence of one's colliding with a bullet.

Yet ANOTHER uproarious "Chuckle" brought to us today by The Seafood ! ! !

Now Seafood, everyone knows that higher temperatures encourage the birth of hurricanes.

Certainly the Hot Air and the Meanness emitted and Tweeted by The TrumPEST was at least one significant factor in the birth and the life of Florence !

Trump’s EPA is deregulating releases/leaks of Methane so big oil can profit more. Methane is 34 times more potent heat trapping than co2 per IPCC (science u fools).

Have u looked in the Atlantic and the Caribbean (3 storms brewing at once)? Just heard some FEMA people whining that 3 back to back storms are why Puerto Rico got shafted. They ran out of supplies, funding & personnel. Of course Trump lies to u bobble heads and says it was a huge success.

This is exactly what the scientists have been warning against (more strong storms). This will be an excuse for more deficit/budget overruns. So Trump can be thankful for that.

Republican! ----- I wonder if u Frogs will notice the heat in time.

For the ignorant hate based "liberal" that is more interested in spreading hate then in facts, time to once again educate. Mr. Wollschdts naturally occurring "red tide" has been around the worlds ocean's since the beginning. Chronicled in Florida in the late 1700's till present. Making yourself chronically foolish in print is something that for you, like red tide, is naturally occurring...as you prove yet once again, with yet another post of "liberal" anger, hate, always childish attacking and ignorance.

Oh, Seafood : You are the perfect example of the Conscienceless Propagandist ! ! !

Let's consider earthquakes for a moment : Earthquakes ordinarily are natural in origin. . However, they can be induced by fracking. . That does NOT make such fracking-induced earthquakes NATURAL ! ! !

To go a bit further -- One only has to look at the frequency, the scope and the locations of the on-going attacks of Red Tides and Algae Blooms to discover what their NON-NATURAL CAUSES are.

Take a break, clean out your clogged brain.

Quote from Mr. Wollschdts - "Now you have the Red Tide "naturally occurring".. Yes exactly - I do!!once again and as always let me educate you and bring you out of your state of "liberal" ignorance. Turn off your psychotic hate machine and learn. Once again "red tide" has been occurring naturally in the world's oceans long long before septic tanks, farm runoff, sugar or irrational "liberal" drool runoff. But...as always I do appreciate your vain attempt at deflection and the subtle subject change. Bullets?? lololol..You sure are a slippery old devil mr. W!! lololol...and Man oh man, those ARE pretty skates! But the fact remains.... red tides have been here since the beginning of the oceans. Sorry the truth doesn't fit your "liberal" bed time fairy tales. Trump caused the Hurricane!! that's gotta be next!! lololol Wonder which of the two genius's will print it first??!!
